Before Business Proposal gets a Hindi remake, here’s our dream cast for the K-drama. From Radhika Madan, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria to Karan Tacker, who all would we like to see in the series?
Radhika Madan and Sidharth Malhotra feature in our dream cast of Business Proposal.
By Shweta Keshri: The popular K-drama Business Proposal will soon get an Indian remake. The show, which starred Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong in lead roles, will be made in Telugu and Hindi. The South Korean romantic comedy series is based on the webtoon of the same name. Directed by Park Seon-ho and written by Han Seol-hee and Hong Bo-hee, it narrates the story of Shin Ha-ri, who goes on a blind date in place of her friend and later finds out that her date is actually her boss.
Over the past couple of years, K-dramas have taken the world by storm. In India, too, their popularity has increased. No wonder we will soon have Indian versions of Something In The Rain and Business Proposal. As the makers will soon announce the cast of the Indian version of Business Proposal, on Wednesday Wishlist, we will look at our dream cast of the series.
SIDHARTH MALHOTRA AS KANG TAE-MOO
Who better than Sidharth Malhotra to play Kang Tae-moo in Business Proposal, which was originally played by Korean heartthrob Ahn Hyo-seop. The Ek Villain actor would look dashing in suits as the CEO of Go Food.
RADHIKA MADAN AS SHIN HA-RI
We could totally imagine Radhika Madan playing Shin Ha-ri’s role. South Korean actress Kim Se-jeong originally played the role of the researcher in the series, who goes on a blind date with Tae-moo. Radhika will surely ace the ‘Samantha Rachel’ scene, which made the viewers ROFL and Tae-moo spill his coffee.
KARAN TACKER AS CHA SUN-HOON
Business Proposal’s second leads were equally popular. Cha Sun-hoon, played by Kim Min-kyu, who was Tae-moo’s chief secretary, also made women go weak at the knees. Karan Tacker, who wooed viewers in Special Ops, will be a good choice to play Sun-hoon.
TARA SUTARIA AS JIN YOUNG-SEO
We would love to see Student of The Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria as Seol In-ah. Played by Seol In-ah in the K-drama series, she is Ha-ri’s best friend and the only daughter of the chairman of the Marine Group. But, when it comes to her BFF, she is always there. Waiting for her true love, she finds it in Sun-hoon.
NASEERUDDIN SHAH AS CHAIRMAN KANG DA-GOO
If Kang Tae-moo is drama, his grandfather, Chairman Kang Da-goo is a bigger drama. Veteran Korean actor Lee Deok-hwa plays the role in the original. We thought Naseeruddin Shah would be apt for the role. His recent performance in Kaun Banegi Shikharwati is proof that he would be the best choice to play the K-drama-loving grandpa, who sends his grandson on blind dates as he wants to see him married.
NIKI TAMBOLI AS JO YOO-JUNG
Played by Seo Hye-won, Jo Yoo-jung was an interesting character in Business Proposal. Niki Tamboli of Bigg Boss 14 fame would be a good choice for the role. She is Jin Young-seo’s cousin and the two are quite competitive. Not just clothes, but they even had a similar taste in men. No wonder both of them fell for Sun-hoon. And, who better than Niki to portray a character who is competitive in nature?
PRATEIK BABBAR AS LEE MIN-WOO
Prateik Babbar showed off his bartending skills in Four More Shot Please. We would love to see him dish out different cuisines as Lee Min-woo, Ha-ri’s unrequited love. Played by Song Won-seok, Lee Min-woo was Ha-ri’s classmate at university and now works as a chef.
SHEEBA CHADHA AS HA-RI’S MOTHER
Shin Ha-ri’s mother was badass. She adored her daughter but also did not hesitate to pull her by the hair if she made a mistake. Sheeba Chadha, who is a powerhouse of talent, would fit the role perfectly. Actress Jung Young-joo played the role in the K-drama.
Who would you like to see as Shin Ha-ri and Kang Tae-moo in the Hindi remake of Business Proposal?
