The upcoming kdrama ‘A Business Proposal’ starring the handsome Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong in lead roles has fans excitedly waiting for its premiere. Additionally, ‘A Business Proposal’ is Ahn Hyo Seop’s return to kdramas after the major success of ‘Lovers Of The Red Sky‘, so the expectations are pretty high. Working alongside him will be the lovely actress, Kim Se Jeong, who we all love for her roles in School 2017 and The Uncanny Counter. The drama was earlier titled ‘The Office Blind Date’ before being changed to A Business Proposal.
In this romantic comedy kdrama, Ahn Hyo Seop portrays the character of Kang Tae Mu, the perfectly good-looking and successful CEO who puts a strong front to hide his weakness. After countless nagging sessions that his grandfather gives him, Ahn Hyo Seop decides to get married to the next woman he meets at a blind date in order to get his grandfather off his back. In comes, Shin Ha Ri who is a clumsy employee at Kang Tae Mu’s company who unexpectedly finds herself being her boss’s blind date. Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong Gives Us A Sneak Peek Into His ‘A Business Proposal’ Character
This upcoming workplace romantic comedy-drama is co-written by Han Sul Hee, who is best known for writing all seventeen seasons of Ugly Miss Young Ae, and Hong-Bo Hee who is known for her work in Standby. Furthermore, the drama is based on the web novel that also inspired the webtoon of the same name ‘A Business Proposal‘. Ahn Hyo Seop’s character Kang Tae Mu oozes confidence through the screen. He is intelligent, good-looking, and also is a third-generation chaebol. Speaking about his character, Ahn Hyo Seop reveals that although he seems nonchalant and strong, he is hiding a deep fear on the inside. All his life he has done a pretty good job at pretending to be strong.
However, when Shin Ha Ri enters his life, she can see right through his strong facade. The female lead, Shin Ha Ri, is the exact opposite of Kang Tae Mu. Furthermore, she is an ordinary food researcher at Kang Tae Mu’s company. When she agreed to pretend to be her chaebol best friend on a blind date, she did not expect it to be her boss. Speaking about her character, Kim Sejeong said that her main goal with Shin Ha Ri was to make her character seem a positive character no matter the circumstance. She also polished Shin Ha Ri to have good coping skills. On one hand, Kang Tae Mu’s goal is to marry his blind date so that he stop his grandfather’s nagging, and on the other, Shin Ha Ri is tasked to get rejected at any cost. However, fate has other plans for these two.
On Challenges While Filming ‘A Business Proposal’
Both the leads agreed that portraying their characters in the drama was not an easy ride. Moreover, as the drama is based on an already popular webtoon, the audiences have really high expectations. A Business Proposal is directed by the popular director Park Seon Ho whose previous works include Suspicious Partner, Work Of Love, and My Strange Hero. Kim Sejeong revealed every choice has challenges of its own. Therefore, she believes that she made a great choice by picking ‘A Business Proposal’. Ahn Hyo Seop also spoke about his expectations from the drama. He further added that he looks for a way to become a better person through each project that he picks. And with ‘A Business Proposal’ too he hopes to become a better version of himself. Fans cannot wait to see Ahn Hyo Seop’s and Kim Sejeong’s amazing chemistry on the screen.
